Today I'll do a short talk about my experience as a beginning opensource developer at Upstream. Upstream is an annual one day event organized by Tidelift. And is a "A one-day celebration of open source, the developers who use it, and the maintainers who make it".
You can find the agenda here. The event is free and you can register here.
My talk starts at 3:45pm ET. I will talk about the opensource web development framework Reken I am working on and my experience starting an opensource project.
For the slides I built a small web application with Reken. It allows animation between the slides. On each slide you can provide a title, bullet points, images left, right or below and you can embed a frame with running code which I use in the presentation to do a brief Reken demo. I made the slideshow web application available on Github.
